Barley View has been awarded a ‘Good’ rating from the latest CQC inspection, the flagship home within The Calico Group.
The rating is a result of the continued hard work of dedicated staff to improve the quality of care. A place where the residents feel safe living in their home, the report stated that there were sufficient staff employed to meet people’s needs and residents had maximum choice and control of their lives. Residents and relatives were invited to meetings and encouraged to express their views on the service.
The news coincides with the launch of the newest member of The Calico Group, Syncora Care which is aiming to grow across the wider care sector including providing the care service for Burnley’s first extra care accommodation, Dovestone Gardens. Due to be completed in 2024, Dovestone Gardens will provide 93 apartments designed for people who require additional level of support whilst maintaining a level of independence.
Jo Ashworth, Head of Care at Syncora; ‘We’re delighted at the outcome of this report, it is a reflection of how dedicated the staff are and how hard they have worked. Our aim is to continue to improve and give residents freedom over their lives and the care they receive.
After receiving a good rating for Barley View, we are excited for the future of our home and the launch of Syncora Care and developing new care services, including the service for Dovestone Gardens.’
